Please take note that Sybase will be releasing a new version of it's 'premier' development tool for MS-Windows .. PowerBuilder version 10.5! The release date is March the 15th, 2006. This new release will include these major new features (amoung others)

I went to Vienna for the Sybase Development Tools Boot Camp in November, my first trip to Europe. Haven't seen much yet, except the duty free sections of the airports, after my 10-hour flight from Johannesburg, and a nice three-hour stopover at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. Sybase's iAnywhere Launches XTNDConnect
iAnywhere, a subsidiary of Sybase released version 5.4 of its XTNDConnect PC mobile device-to-desktop synchronization software. Version 5.4 adds support for Windows Mobile 5.0 devices as well as the latest Sony Ericsson models, including the W800i Walkman phone and K750i device.

Aart Onkenhout introduced Coolbar, wrappers around the Microsoft rebar and toolbar control to make it possible to have Office XP- and Office 2003-style toolbars in PowerBuilder applications. Although some of the features will be available in the newest PowerBuilder version (10.5), these wrappers make it possible to give an Office look to applications written in PB7 to PB 10.2 (and 10.5 too).
Sybase's Wireless Business Grows 12% As 2005 Q3 Results Exceed Expectations
Sybase has reported its financial results for the 2005 third quarter ended September 30, 2005. 'We beat our expectations on the bottom line, generated solid cash flow from operations, and increased mobile and wireless revenues by 12% year-over-year,' said John Chen, chairman, CEO and president.

Sybase, Inc., a provider of enterprise infrastructure and wireless software, has reported financial results for the 2005 third quarter ended September 30, 2005. Pro forma net income for the third quarter reached $30.1 million, or earnings of $0.33 per share on a diluted basis (EPS). This compares with pro forma net income of $27.4 million, or EPS of $0.29 for the 2004 third quarter.
