8/04 - Sybase announced the general availability of Pocket PowerBuilder, the new integrated application development environment designed to simplify and speed the creation of mobile and wireless enterprise applications. Using Pocket PowerBuilder, developers can meet the growing demand for enterprise-class mobile solutions that deliver critical business information to workers using Windows CE-based devices. In addition, current PowerBuilder developers can leverage their expertise to build new and extend existing applications to mobile devices, helping to enable the unwired enterprise.

SQL ANYWHERE
SuSE Linux

8/11 - iAnywhere Solutions, a subsidiary of Sybase, announced that it is working with SuSE Linux in a technology alliance that provides access to continuing Linux developments at SuSE as well as support for the optimization of SQL Anywhere Studio for SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 8.

2003 Innovator Awards
8/06 - iAnywhere Solutions, a subsidiary of Sybase, presented its third annual Innovator Awards to LogicaCMG and Pangaea Systems. The 2003 Innovator Awards recognize iAnywhere Solutions Alliance Program members who have demonstrated innovative use of iAnywhere Solutions' market-leading technology for the unwired enterprise.

Solutions Developer Community
8/04 - iAnywhere Solutions, a subsidiary of Sybase, announced that developers who join the iAnywhere Solutions Developer Community can register to receive a free Developer Edition copy of SQL Anywhere Studio 9. The new Developer Edition is designed to further stimulate the development of database-powered applications that leverage new and emerging technologies for the unwired enterprise.

ISO 9001:2000

9/02 - Sybase announced that it has received ISO 9001:2000 certification for its Customer Service and Support, Professional Services, and Manufacturing organizations. ISO 9001:2000 is the worldwide standard for defining the requirements for quality management systems. Achieving this certification demonstrates that Sybase has implemented "best practice" processes designed to meet and exceed customers' expectations for quality.

BearingPoint
8/05 - Sybase and BearingPoint, one of the world's largest business consulting and systems integration firms, announced a comprehensive managed services offering for reliable, cost-effective, and high-performance management of enterprise processes, applications, and IT infrastructure. The managed services offering is available worldwide through BearingPoint, and leverages Sybase's extensive data management and integration solutions, and both organizations' skilled professional services resources.

Fujitsu
8/5 - Sybase and Fujitsu Software Corporation (Fujitsu), a leading provider of customer-focused IT and communications solutions for the global marketplace, announced they signed a Memorandum of Understanding to form a new partnership. Fujitsu will market Sybase Content Capture technology and offer it as a component of Fujitsu Interstage Portalworks, and Sybase will integrate Fujitsu's Interstage XWand Developer XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) solution with PowerDesigner, Sybase's all-in-one modeling and design tool, and co-market the combined solution.

Butler Group Report
8/5 - Sybase announced that it is positioned among the top three vendors in the integration market in Butler Group's "EAI and Web Services" report. Butler Group evaluated vendors based on their solution's ease of use, compatibility with open standards, and ability to consistently deliver high ROI.

TIBCO
8/5 - Sybase and TIBCO Software, an enabler of real-time business, announced an agreement to deliver Sybase Real-time Services, the first easy-to-use, real-time information delivery solution built on open standards. Sybase Real-time Services will proactively push relevant information from a database, giving business decision makers the opportunity to quickly combat threats, capitalize on opportunities, and make better-informed decisions.

Wi-Fi Alliance
8/04 - Sybase announced that it has joined the Wi-Fi Alliance, a nonprofit organization formed to consolidate wireless LAN standards. By joining the Alliance, Sybase deepens its involvement in the Wi-Fi market and takes an active role in establishing industry-wide standards and product interoperability. As one of the first enterprise software providers to join the Alliance, Sybase's membership highlights the importance of software as well as hardware in enabling successful Wi-Fi solutions.

ADAPTIVE SERVER ENTERPRISE
Early Adopter Program

8/04 - Sybase announced its Early Adopter Program for Adaptive Server Enterprise 12.5.1. Participants in the program, which is effective immediately, will have free use of a beta version of ASE 12.5.1 as well as access to support from the Sybase experts and engineers responsible for designing the solution.

Quest Software
8/05 - Quest Software, a leading provider of application management solutions, announced that it is broadening its heterogeneous database management support through a strategic alliance with Sybase Inc. In addition, Quest Software announced the release of Spotlight on Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise, a real-time database performance diagnostics product that supports multiple versions of ASE. Spotlight on Sybase ASE will enable database administrators to anticipate and correct issues before critical business services are impacted by bottlenecks or delays in response times.
