8/7 - Sybase announced the availability of Borland JBuilder 7 Enterprise - Sybase Edition.
7/16 - IDC, in a report forecasting the worldwide mobile middleware market, recognized iAnywhere Solutions, a subsidiary of Sybase, as the company with the greatest ability to gain market share and leverage future growth opportunities. IDC placed iAnywhere Solutions in the top position in its Leadership Grid over 25 other enterprise-centric vendors in this market.
Aberdeen Group Report
7/24 - iAnywhere Solutions, a subsidiary of Sybase, announced the results of a new Aberdeen Group study demonstrating the visible cost of ownership (VCO) of SQL Anywhere Studio to be significantly lower than Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Oracle9i. The report found that over a five-year period, SQL Anywhere Studio offered the lowest acquisition, administration, and maintenance costs among the leading mass-deployment embedded database products.
Broadened IDE Support
8/5 - iAnywhere Solutions, a subsidiary of Sybase, announced that it is the first m-business technology provider to support the leading mobile application development environments, including C/C++, Java, PowerBuilder, and Visual Basic. Through partnerships with leading vendors such as AppForge, Borland, and Metrowerks, iAnywhere Solutions enables the industry's leading mobile database to be used in a broad range of development options.
Expanded Solutions Alliance Program
8/5 - iAnywhere Solutions, a subsidiary of Sybase, announced its expanded iAnywhere Solutions Alliance Program, which provides a broader range of partner companies with the technology, materials, and support they need to be successful in today's market. Building on the company's strategic partner focus and successful base of more than 1,000 partners, the enhanced program addresses the unique needs of three target audiences - embedded database partners, channel partners, and strategic technology partners.
8/5 - Sybase announced the beta version of its Enterprise Portal (EP) 5.0. The new version adds support for multiple application servers, greater ease of use, increased security, and integrated development, deployment, management, and monitoring that lowers total cost of ownership (TCO).

7/15 - Sybase announced its Apple Early Adopter Program for Adaptive Server Enterprise 12.5. Under the program, Sybase will provide free use and newsgroup support of an Early Adopter version of ASE 12.5 for Mac OS X from July 17, 2002, until the product becomes generally available in September 2002.
Replication Server for Linux
7/29 - Sybase announced the availability of the latest version of its enterprise-class data replication technology, Sybase Replication Server 12.5 for Linux. The new version of Replication Server includes support for Red Hat 7.2 and Linux Kernel 2.4.
7/29 - CashEdge announced a partnership with Financial Fusion, a subsidiary of Sybase, to enhance their online services with interinstitution transfer and person-to-person payment technologies.
7/29 - Sybase and TightLink Corporation today announced the signing of a global OEM agreement where Sybase will private label TightLink CIS 3 as part of the recently announced PATRIOTCompliance solution.
7/18 - Sybase announced pro forma diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.26 for the quarter ending June 30, 2002, compared to second quarter 2001 pro forma diluted EPS of $0.24. Total revenues for the second quarter 2002 were $205.3 million, compared to second quarter 2001 revenues of $234.7 million.
