SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/13/12 -- GENWI (www.genwi.com), the leader in cloud-based mobile publishing, today announced the appointment of seasoned marketing executive Amanda Van Nuys as the Vice President of Marketing. Van Nuys will lead GENWI's brand awareness, communications, and lead generation efforts. She comes to GENWI from Palo Alto's Mozes, Inc., a mobile marketing company where she served in a similar capacity.
A well-rounded marketing and communications executive with over 18 years of experience in digital marketing, public relations, brand development, and lead generation, Van Nuys has been a key contributor helping companies take a leadership position in their category.
"We're excited to add someone with Amanda's depth of B2B technology marketing experience to our team," said PJ Gurumohan, Founder and CEO of GENWI. "We believe that GENWI's solution is well-timed as publishers and enterprises are realizing how difficult and resource-intensive mobile publishing can be. Our proven cloud-based platform solves many of the problems that these companies face and makes it easy to manage, update, and analyze mobile applications. Now, it's time for GENWI to get the word out and lead the mobile publishing revolution. Amanda's just the right person to get us there."
Prior to joining GENWI, she refreshed the Mozes brand and positioned the company among key thought leaders and brand marketers, leading to increased awareness and lead flow. Prior to joining Mozes, Amanda was the Executive Director, Enterprise Marketing at Linden Lab/Second Life, where she spearheaded all aspects of Second Life marketing to large enterprises. Prior to that, Amanda was Vice President of Marketing at Organic, where she transformed the off-the-radar brand into a leading digital agency. She has also held other marketing positions at Scient, Novell, Sybase, and Regis McKenna. Van Nuys holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Vassar College.
