11/19 - PowerBuilder Developer Resource announced that PBPaste has been updated to support PowerBuilder 10.0 and that their other utilities will be released in PowerBuilder 10.0-compliant versions in the near future.

CoolMenu 2.0 Beta
Aart Onkenhout announced the beta for version 2.0 of CoolMenu, a utility for adding bitmaps into your PowerBuilder-based applications (similar to those in Office XP).

LookOut for Outlook
Extreme DataWindows announced the beta for a new PowerBuilder-based utility to manage Outlook mail.


PowerDesigner 11
11/17 - Sybase announced the upcoming availability of PowerDesigner 11, a unique enterprise modeling tool that enables better alignment between business and IT goals, and flexible adaptation to changes in business conditions. Users worldwide rely on PowerDesigner as their modeling tool of choice, and this latest version will add new enterprise modeling capabilities and expanded database support.


Afaria and SMS
11/16 - iAnywhere Solutions, a subsidiary of Sybase, announced an early adopter program for enterprises looking to extend the configuration management capabilities of Microsoft's Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 to a broad range of mobile devices used on the frontlines of business including Windows mobile-based smart phones; non-Windows platforms, such as Palm, RIM, and Symbian; and legacy Windows 98, Windows CE 3.0, and Pocket PC 2000 and 2002 platforms. Working in conjunction with Microsoft, iAnywhere has integrated its industry-leading mobile device management solution, XcelleNet Afaria, with SMS 2003, enabling enterprises to manage and secure all of their Windows and non-Windows frontline devices - PCs, laptops, handhelds, and smart phones - from a central SMS console. With XcelleNet Afaria, SMS software packages can now be deployed to any of these devices from the SMS console and a detailed inventory of all hardware and software asset information is maintained in the SMS repository.

11/8 - iAnywhere Solutions, a subsidiary of Sybase, Inc., announced that its AvantGo mobile Internet service will have reached one billion subscriber syncs in the month of November. In celebration of this milestone and the service's five-year anniversary, which highlights the growing momentum of the free service, AvantGo will feature a contest for subscribers and launch a special advertising program for channel partners.


Golden Software Award
11/15 - Sybase announced that its enterprise-class relational database management system, Adaptive Server Enterprise 12.5.2, received the Golden Software Award in the database sector. This award recognizes Sybase's contribution to the information technology industry in China over the past 20 years, and was based on results from a nationwide survey sponsored by the China Software Association and the China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID). Sybase was ranked the leader in the RDBMS sector, followed by Oracle and IBM.


Citizens Bank
11/17 - Financial Fusion, a subsidiary of Sybase, announced that Citizens Bank, a top 10 U.S. bank with $131 billion in assets, has licensed and implemented the complete Financial Fusion Banking Suite to build a scalable technology infrastructure focused on customer service and growth. The bank implemented Financial Fusion Banking Suite as a single, enterprise-wide platform for retail, small business, and corporate online banking.

Corporate Banking Solution
11/08 - Financial Fusion, a subsidiary of Sybase, announced the release of an enhanced Financial Fusion Corporate Banking Solution. Corporate Banking Solution is a Web-based cash management and global payments system that enables financial institutions and their customers to operate with greater efficiency by managing cash positions, processing payments, and transferring funds electronically. Built on proven J2EE e-finance architecture, the Corporate Banking Solution is designed for transaction-intensive deployments that require scalability and high availability.

South Financial Group
11/8 - Financial Fusion, Inc., a Sybase company, announced the successful implementation of the Corporate Banking Solution at The South Financial Group. The solution provides South Financial Group, a multi-bank holding company with assets totaling approximately $13.6 billion, with a single, enterprise-wide platform to offer online banking services and products to retail and business cash management customers. The implementation has enabled the bank to bring in-house online banking operations, simplifying and enhancing the flexibility of accounting management for their corporate customers and giving them immediate access to their transaction records.
