Enterprise Portal 2.0 Award

Sybase announced that Enterprise Portal 2.0 was voted product leader in the Enterprise Software category in Asia Computer Weekly's Product Leadership readers' survey.

EAServer 4.0 J2EE 1.3 Certification

Sybase announced that EAServer 4.1 became the first "major production-ready" application server to achieve J2EE 1.3 certification.

PBSearch for PowerBuilder

Top Wiz Programming (www.topwizprogramming.com) announced a new release of PBSearch, a utility that provides global search and replace and numerous other features. They also have a utility called PBOrcapi that acts as a native PowerScript wrapper object for the PowerBuilder ORCA API calls.

PowerJ 4.0

Sybase announced the availability of PowerJ 4.0. New features include support for Sybase Enterprise Portal and Sybase EAServer; automation and simplification of processes associated with building, debugging, and deploying applications; and user-interface improvements, code completion (autoscripting), and to-do lists.

Adaptive Server Enterprise

Sybase announced plans to develop Open Client for Mac and Adaptive Server Enterprise 12.5 for Mac OS X. They also announced the latest releases of Enterprise Connect Data Access 12.5 and Mainframe Connect 12.5 for gaining transparent access to heterogeneous databases.

Financial Fusion

Financial Fusion, a subsidiary of Sybase, announced the release of version 4.5 of the Consumer e-Finance Suite and version 2.5 of the Business e-Finance Suite, with support for alerts, ROI tools, and account registers. They also announced that Northwest Farm Credit Services had licensed and deployed the Consumer e-Finance Suite with the Financial Fusion Server to enhance the online banking solutions they provide for their ASP clients and direct customers.

In addition, SWIFT announced that it entered into an agreement with Financial Fusion and Global Crossing to offer a FIX hub messaging solution to the securities industry. Testing and piloting of the solution will commence in Q1 2002, with a planned commercial roll-out in Q2 2002.

New Era of Networks

Sybase announced the availability of the New Era of Networks HIPAA Studio, a suite of tools that enables health care organizations to transform internal data into HIPAA-compliant EDI transactions and route them to trading partners, and to transform data received from trading partners into HIPAA-compliant data and route it to internal systems.

Sybase announced its New Era of Networks Integration Package, a new suite focused on providing customers with departmental integration solutions designed to accelerate the integration of key business applications and systems.

Sybase announced the availability of its New Era of Networks Clinical Gateway solution, which uses a standard Web browser to provide clinicians with immediate and secure access to a consolidated view of clinical data maintained anywhere within the health care enterprise.

Sybase announced new versions of three adapters: a New Era of Networks Adapter for Siebel, for PeopleSoft, and for SAP R/3.

Sybase joins the respected ranks of the annual "Companies to Watch" listing as one of 12 industry players in the category of integration.
