Sybase has announced the availability of the Sybase IQ Real-Time Loading Solution, a combined software and services offering to provide continuous loading of real-time data into the Sybase IQ analytics server. The new offering provides enterprises with the ability to utilize fresh data for greater insight by continuously loading transaction changes, which enables real-time reporting and decision-making.
"This solution is intended to take organizations beyond intermittent batch loading to continuous loading of operational database changes," said Dan Lahl, Director of Sybase Intelligent Enterprise Solutions. "With the Sybase IQ Real-Time Loading Solution, customers can make better informed business decisions at any time-based on the freshest information."
Spice Telecom is one of many companies using this solution to meet the challenge of analyzing in real time ever-growing data volumes in a very competitive market. Spice Telecom utilizes ASE as a staging repository, in conjunction with Replication Server and PowerDesigner, to load external data sources in real-time into Sybase IQ. This new real-time analytics capability has enabled Spice Telecom to analyze trends and ask the "what if" questions that were previously out of reach. With Sybase IQ replacing an OLTP system, load windows have shortened from hours to minutes, and the Real-Time Loading Solution has increased both data freshness and quality.
Sybase IQ is a highly optimized analytics server designed specifically to deliver faster results for mission-critical business intelligence, data warehouse and reporting solutions on any standard hardware and operating systems. It works with diverse data-including unstructured data-and diverse data sources to deliver unsurpassed query performance at the best price/performance available.
With the Real-Time Loading Solution, the strengths of Sybase IQ are further enhanced by providing high-speed change data capture and delivery capabilities to continuously load data changes into Sybase IQ. Customers pay just one price for the full solution, thereby leveraging the power of proven Sybase technologies in modeling and data movement to speed business intelligence, while Sybase Professional Services ensures customers are up and running quickly with no manual coding or development required.
